A page view is the count of how many times a page was viewed from your site. A single person can view your page multiple times. If someone stays on the same page, but refreshes the page, each refresh will also count as a new page view.
For most reports, you can choose to view charts by page views rather than visitors. If you have a visual counter, you can also choose to display page views rather than visitors.
