Adding/Removing Cookie Tracking
Cookie tracking is a much more accurate way of tracking your visitors. You can choose to turn your cookies off, so that cookies will not be set by WebSTAT on your visitor's browsers, but this is not recommended. Some people object to the use of cookies, since they are often perceived as intrusive to privacy. WebSTAT does not use cookies to track any personally identifiable information about any of your visitors. The cookies are simply used to identify visitors as unique or returning, and to gauge the duration since their last visit. In any case, if you object to the use of cookies, they can be turned off here. WebSTAT can still track your visitors without cookie tracking, but you will be missing out on a lot of useful information (such as returning visitor data, and the Visitor Frequency report). To turn on/off Cookie Tracking, follow these steps:

1. Log into WebSTAT
2. Click on the "Tracking Options"
3. The last option will ask "Use Cookie Tracking?" Make your selection.
4. Click on the "Update Changes" button to save your changes.

If everything works correctly, you should get a screen that says "Your changes have been successfully saved for this account!"
